For the past two weeks we have the amazing opportunity to watch and observe young chicks hatching out of their eggs as part of the Henny Penny Hatchery program. This interactive program allowed children to see chicks hatch from eggs inside the incubator and then have first hand experience with watching the chicks grow and at the same time learn about the needs of living things.
At Brayside we value continuity of learning so we continually revisit and reinforce this learning. The children were sad to see the chicks leave to go to new homes but are excited now to watch the lifecycle of frogs as our tadpoles are fast maturing.
