My Philosophy
My goal as an early childhood educator is to encourage children to see possibility, to feed their curiosity, to build self-confidence and to give value to their voice.
I believe the natural environment is a limitless resource. It encourages respect, self awareness and an understanding of interconnectedness.
I believe in play-based learning and following the child’s lead, scaffolding their ideas and encouraging them to experiment and explore their thinking.
I also believe risky play helps children understand their limits, supports goal setting and builds self-confidence.
To me it’s a collaboration of communities that raise good humans and I am honoured to be a part of it.
