Nature Walk Program

In the cooler months of the year we engage in daily nature walks along the creek system in our neighborhood. The children observe the daily changes in the environment.

We are reflecting on children’s recommended intake of fruit and vegetables, as well as supporting healthy physical development.

Breadmaking Ritual

In the mornings at our preschool we start our mornings with familiar rituals such as breadmaking.

Adam’s Wildlife Encounters

Adam came to visit our preschool presenting the Small & Mighty Show. The children were hands on with mini beasts and learned about the important rolls they play in our ecosystems.

Sustainable Marine Incursion

The children at Brayside Preschool had a special visit from Captain Crackers, who came to teach us about how to care for our oceans and marine animals.

Our Brayside BUSH TUCKER GARDEN

Within our preschool outdoor environment we have a lot of bush tucker and native plants that attract native wildlife in the form of birds, bees, insects and lizards.

Nature walks

We have had some wonderful adventures over the last few weeks exploring, learning and playing in our local creek and bush setting.

Ambulance visit 30th June

We had some great conversations about what might be inside the ambulance as well as what an ambulance does and how to contact one if you need to.

We had a special visitor named Beetrix the Blue Banded Bee at Brayside. She came to entertain us through song and dance while teaching us about how important bees are to the environment as bees pollinate the flowers to some of the fruit and vegetables we like to eat.

Family cultural Feast

We celebrated the end of our identity and belonging project with a special evening of culture and connection.

Gumbaynggirr Language Program

This term Manduway has been focusing on teaching us how to identify feelings and express them in Gumbaynggirr language.

Being Sustainable -Bin Trim Program

Over three weeks we had Kristy from Cool Planet come to teach us about recycling, reducing waste and composting.

Child safety program

As part of our focus on child safety in our program we always include visits from our community helpers.

Christmas in Coriedale Drive

The children have once again loved making Christmas cards with special messages and delivering them to letterboxes in surrounding streets. We love spreading Christmas cheer and meeting people and pets in our local community.

The culture that Janette fosters at Brayside is all about providing a safe, fun, enjoyable environment for children to flourish. The group of women that work at Brayside are not kids straight out of school looking for a job. They are women who have typically had their own kids and choose to work at Brayside due to their love of utilising their teaching qualifications and caring for children in a great preschool.

Brayside is very child-centered and it has amazing educators. They all are very professional and very supportive to both children and parents. Every educator has always have something to tell about my child’s day when I pick her up.
