We had a special visit from Adam’s Wildlife Encounters, who brought in his Small and Mighty Show to teach us about insects and invertebrates. We learned about the importance of insects for our ecosystem and touch and hold a range of animals including a Spiny Leaf Insect, Giant Burrowing Cockroach and Giant Millipede. The cockroach was 8 years old!
Adam also had some tanks that held scorpions, snails and centipedes and digital microscope that the children could look at a cockroach shell, spider exoskeleton and leaf insect eggs. This was a very interesting experience and perfect for all the animal fans we have on a Tuesday.
