We had a special visitor named Beetrix the Blue Banded Bee at Brayside. She came to entertain us through song and dance while teaching us about how important bees are to the environment as bees pollinate the flowers to some of the fruit and vegetables we like to eat like strawberries and tomatoes. We learnt about the Blue Banded Bee’s body, where they like to live and how 70% of bees live underground and not in hives. Beetrix showed us what we can do to help bees in our own backyard like plant some native flowers, make a bee hotel and leave out some water.
